Texas State Aquarium showcases an astonishing variety of marine species, colorful and each with their own unique characteristics.

Underwater exhibits offer a spectacular structure and an emotional trip across the immensity of the oceans. Pathways wind in and around jungle habitats teeming with life, including vibrant coral formations, cenotes, and beautiful fauna and flora.

Our exhibits are divided according to geographic region, featuring animals from the Gulf of Mexico and Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Break into the mesmerizing secrets of the underwater world or journey through jungles with tropical plants and trees, flamingos, a sloth, toucan, tortoises, crocodiles and much more.

Texas State Aquarium is an educational, scientific and research center. Our priorities focus on educating and raising public awareness for conservation, management and responsible use of aquatic environments.

Interesting Facts

There are a number of endangered species in our collection.
The H-E-B Caribbean Sea exhibit features a 68 foot-long acrylic window – the longest in North America.
Our exhibits are replenished with seawater collected from the Corpus Christ Bay.
