The Texas State Aquarium is OPEN!

The Aquarium has implemented numerous initiatives in coordination with state and local officials to protect the health of our guests, staff, volunteers, and animals. A comprehensive list of these directives can be found here. We can’t wait to welcome our Members and the public back to enjoy the Aquarium, once again. Aquarium hours will be 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Café Aqua will also be open from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Our Shoreline Grill hours will be from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at https://bit.ly/2WHQ2b9.

  • Please visit Harbor Bridge Project for traffic updates prior to your visit.
  • Military discounts available with advance purchase of tickets at the following MWR/ITT offices: Fort Hood, Fort Sam Houston, Lackland Air Force Base, Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Naval Air Station Kingsville and Randolph Air Force Base
  • Gift Shop/Food Court/Handicapped Accessible
  • By entering, you consent to your voice and photography being used without compensation in any and all media and marketing materials, and you release the Texas State Aquarium from any liability of usage.
  • Strollers are available for rent on a first-come, first-served basis. Single-capacity strollers are $5 while double-capacity strollers are $7. 
  • Wheelchairs are available to be rented at no charge.
  • Only service animals are permitted inside the Aquarium; no other animals are allowed.
  • The Texas State Aquarium is a member of the AZA Reciprocity program. Members of participating institutions will receive up to two admission tickets at the discounted rate. The discount is only available on-site and you must present a valid membership card and photo id in order to receive the discount. Tips for a Great Visit

  • Check out our program schedule and map to plan your visit.
  • Arrive early for Dolphin, Wild Flight, and dive presentations. * Currently unavailable*
  • When possible, bring baby backpacks or baby slings instead of strollers to get through crowded areas with ease.
  • Wear comfortable shoes.
  • Check the weather, as some of our presentations and exhibits are outdoors.
  • To avoid large groups during the summer months, try visiting during the week. The busiest times to visit are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • To avoid long lines at the ticket counter, become a Member of the Aquarium.
  • To minimize touchpoints and speed your entrance to the Aquarium, we encourage you to purchase your tickets online.
