March 27, 2018

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS - The Texas State Aquarium will be open this Easter weekend and will celebrate the holiday with an aquatic twist on some classic Easter events and activities. Among these special opportunities – all which are included with guest admission or membership – are photo opportunities with the SCUBA Easter Bunny in the new H-E-B Caribbean Sea and a self-guided egg hunt through land and sea using the Aquarium’s immersive exhibits.

The egg hunt will take place during the Aquarium’s operating hours on March 31 and April 1 so guests can participate at their own pace. 22 eggs featuring the shapes of 11 animals will be hidden throughout the Aquarium, including in the underwater exhibits. Guests will be given an activity sheet to document when they’ve discovered each egg. When complete, they can hand in their sheet to receive a small Easter treat, while supplies last.

SCUBA Easter Bunny will also be making daily appearances at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on March 31 and April 1 during the “Diver in the Water” presentation, with limited opportunities to take a photo through the acrylic display window.

Dorsey the Easter dolphin will also be available to take photos with guests in the lobby between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on March 31 and April 1.

The Texas State Aquarium features free parking and is open on Saturday, March 31 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Sunday, April 1 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Guests can skip the line by purchasing tickets at texasstateaquarium.org.
