November 22, 2017

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS – The Texas State Aquarium will be open tomorrow on Thanksgiving from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., and will be treating its holiday guests to a complimentary turkey meal with their admission. Aquarium members will also be eligible to receive a free turkey meal when they visit on November 23.

“Thanksgiving is a time for showing our gratitude for everything we have, and while we have a lot to be grateful for, we’re probably most thankful for our guests and our community,” said Tom Schmid, President and CEO of the Aquarium. “This complimentary meal is our own small way of giving back and saying thank you to the members and guests who’ve visited and supported us this past year. It’s been a treat for us to see our guests enjoy our newest exhibits and attractions in Caribbean Journey, but what they may not know it how big a part they’ve also played in helping us to further our education and conservation mission.”

The complimentary Thanksgiving dish will consist of turkey and dressing, giblet gravy, vegetables, a dinner roll, iced tea, and a homemade cobbler dessert and will be served while supplies last. The Aquarium will close early at 2 p.m. for Thanksgiving and will reopen from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. the following day on November 24. The Aquarium will closed from November 27-30 for repairs and renovations and will reopen on December 1.
