August 28, 2024

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – The Texas State Aquarium is excited to announce a special partnership with Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers to benefit the Port Corpus Christi Center for Wildlife Rescue, the largest coastal wildlife rescue facility in Texas. On Saturday, August 31st, Raising Cane's in Corpus Christi and Portland, TX will host a fundraising event to support the program's mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and release Texas wildlife, including dolphins, sea turtles, shorebirds, raptors, and manatees.

Customers can mention Texas State Aquarium fundraiser at the register, and Raising Cane’s will donate 15% of net sales to the Port Corpus Christi Center for Wildlife Rescue at the Texas State Aquarium. Thank you to Raising Cane’s for being a champion of Texas wildlife and advancing our mission!

Earlier this summer, Raising Cane’s in Portland selected the Texas State Aquarium as its local community nonprofit and made a generous donation to the rescue program during its Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting. This continued partnership directly benefits the rescue team’s important work. Currently, the aquarium’s rescue program is caring for 16 Mississippi Kite fledglings displaced from their nests by Hurricane Beryl’s high winds in Houston. The funds raised by the upcoming fundraiser at both Raising Cane’s locations will support the care of these fledglings, as well as the endangered sea turtles in the rescue program.
