Mini-Camp

Our one-day Mini-Camps offer immersive and hands-on STEM-based activities in which children of all ages will have fun, make friends, and learn about science and the environment.

Enrollment is $115 for members, $115 for non-members.
November 25th, 2024 (1st – 2nd grade, November 26th, 2024 (3rd – 5th grade)
Times: 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ages: 1st – 2nd grade, 3rd – 5th grade
Reservations are non-refundable.
Program availability is limited; additionally, each program requires a minimum number of enrollments or may be subject to cancellation.
A signed participation waiver is required from all participants.

DEEP-SEA DEFENDERS, 1ST – 2ND GRADE

Campers will experience an insider’s view of how we care for our animal collection at the Texas State Aquarium! As Deep-Sea Defenders, campers will explore, discover, and become inspired by our oceans and those that inhabit there.

Campers will experience an insider’s view of how we care for our animal collection at the Texas State Aquarium! As Conservation Warriors, campers will be inspired to protect the oceans and the animals that call it home!

Frequently Asked Questions

HOW LONG IS MINI-CAMP?

Camp runs from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Before and after care is not available, and we cannot accommodate early drop-offs or late pickups.
WHO WILL BE WITH MY CAMPERS?

Texas State Aquarium’s Education staff, who are trained in best practices and are certified in CPR, First Aid will facilitate camp.
CAN I REGISTER FOR A CAMP IF MY CHILD IS NOT IN THE SPECIFIED AGE RANGE?

No. To maximize engagement and provide a positive experience for all, your camper must register for the camp in their designated age/grade range.
ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION

If your child needs to be administered medication during camp hours, please complete the Medical Administration Form and return it to Nicole Gaertner, Education Manager, at [email protected] at least one week prior to camp.
