May 18, 2018
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – On Tuesday, May 22 at 10:30 a.m., the Texas State Aquarium will reveal the newest features of its Wildlife Rescue Center, formerly known as the Second Chances Wildlife Rehabilitation Program, in an open house tour at 4230 Rincon Road. All media are invited to attend to learn more about this exciting announcement. This event is invite-only for media and select guests and will not be open to the general public.
A Wildlife Rescue van and 24-foot boat used for rescuing and transporting animals will be on display and media will be given a personalized tour of the facility, including a refurbished surgical center and sea turtle water systems where more than 1,000 sea turtles were rehabilitated in early 2018.
TSA staff and partners will be available to share how the Wildlife Rescue Center’s mission has expanded in recent years and how its latest additions will provide additional resources for rescuing, healing, and releasing injured wildlife in the Coastal Bend.
