Guests of all ages including seniors are welcome to attend this afternoon event, which is held as part of the Aquarium’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative and in partnership with the Deaf Community Board and the Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

This event is held as part of the Texas State Aquarium’s Diversity & Inclusion Initiative.

Support for the Diversity & Inclusion Initiative is provided in part by a partnership with the Driscoll Health Plan and a grant from the Coastal Bend Community Foundation.

Deaf Awareness Day at the Aquarium will feature an American Sign Language(ASL)-friendly presentation schedule, including an ASL-modified Diver in the Water Show. ASL translators will also be available at all afternoon presentations including the Wild Flight Show and DOLPHINS! “What to Expect” signage will be placed at participating exhibits and three “calm zones” will be provided for guests.
