Texas State Aquarium strives to give visitors an educational and interactive experience with over 300 species on exhibit, touch pools, animal presentations, rehabilitation center, H-E-B Splash Park, and so much more. An exception will be made for Labor Day, and the Splash Park will be open Monday, September 2nd, with water flowing from 11:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Guests should be sure to bring a suit and towel.

Some Aquarium experiences will transition to weekends only. Starting Monday, August 12th, the Splash Park will open on Saturday and Sunday during specific hours, with water flowing from 11:00 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

Also available weekends, Texas State Aquarium offers behind-the-scenes experiences called Exclusive Encounters, where, in advance, Aquarium visitors can reserve a time slot to Feed the Fish or Snorkel with the Sharks. Admission is required to participate in our Exclusive Encounters. Visit the Exclusive Encounters web page for more information and reservations.

Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., guests may stop by the Port Corpus Christi Center for Wildlife Rescue where the mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release wild animals back to their natural habitat. The center overlooks Corpus Christi Bay and sits adjacent to the Aquarium. Visitors can engage in this unique experience and understand the vital work being done to protect and preserve these incredible marine animals. This area is free to the public, but a donation is always appreciated.
