Corpus Christi, TX – The Texas State Aquarium has once again been nominated as one of the top aquariums in the country in USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, marking its eighth consecutive nomination. In 2025, the Aquarium achieved its highest ranking yet, earning the #3 spot in North America, and now the community’s support can help push it even further.
As the largest aquarium in Texas, the Aquarium’s continued recognition highlights its leadership in conservation, education, and unforgettable guest experiences. More than a competition, this is an opportunity to shine a national spotlight on the animals rescued, the students inspired, and the vital conservation work happening right here on the Texas Gulf Coast.
Voting is open now through Monday, May 11, and supporters can vote once per day. With the final stretch underway, every vote counts.

The Texas State Aquarium offers an immersive journey through land and sea, from a lush jungle filled with free-flying birds and flamingos to a sunken shipwreck teeming with sharks. Guests can encounter sea turtles, river otters, and dolphins up close, while interactive touch pools and daily presentations provide hands-on learning experiences for all ages.
Opening Memorial Day Weekend, Ocean Odyssey will introduce an all-new indoor children’s discovery center designed to inspire the next generation of ocean stewards. This multi-level, immersive experience invites young explorers to climb, play, and learn through interactive, ocean-themed environments—blending fun with conservation and real-world wildlife rescue themes.
The Aquarium is also home to the largest coastal wildlife rescue facility in Texas and one of the largest in the nation. Its Center for Wildlife Rescue is the only facility in the state permitted to care for marine mammals, sea turtles, raptors, and shorebirds, playing a critical role in rehabilitation, veterinary care, and conservation—treating thousands of animals each year.
