Texas State Aquarium Provides Quality Animal Care After Hours

A vibrant sunset with orange and pink clouds over a calm ocean, palm trees swaying, and a boardwalk with a sign reading “The Deck.” A cruise ship is visible in the distance.

No matter the time of day, the Texas State Aquarium continuously provides quality life support for the invertebrates, fish, birds, and marine mammals that call the Aquarium their home. Ensuring the animals are healthy and well taken care of, TSA staff oversee the animals and their exhibits 24/7. The TSA animal night care team observes all the exhibitions starting around 4:30 in the afternoon and finishing around 8:00 in the morning to monitor the animals and mitigate any concerns.
