Make a Splash This Spring Break: Extended Hours, New 4-D Movie, and Splash Park Return at Texas State Aquarium!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - This Spring Break, March 9-17, the Texas State Aquarium is the place to be. Guests can enjoy up-close animal encounters, a new 4-D film on the life of sea turtles, the return of the Splash Park, added animal presentations, among other wild activities.  

To ensure guests have ample time to explore and enjoy, the Aquarium will extend its operating hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily during the Spring Break period. Visitors can take advantage of the extra hour to enjoy the Whataburger 4-D Theater, splash around at the H-E-B Splash Park, enjoy added animal presentations, or marvel at the diverse array of species, including dolphins, river otters, sharks, flamingos, and coral reef fish.   

The Aquarium is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of the   H-E-B Splash Park on Saturday, March 9. The Splash Park will be open daily through Sunday, March 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The 15,000 square foot Splash Park is crafted to cater to visitors of all ages. Highlights include a 350-gallon water dump feature, ample seating with shaded tables, several food offerings, and much more, making it the perfect family destination.   

A new 4-D movie is coming to the Aquarium’s Whataburger 4D Theater on March 9. “Turtle Odyssey 4-D” will let visitors discover the unique traits and fascinating behaviors of one of the Earth’s most ancient and majestic creatures: sea turtles. Join Baby Bunji, an Australian green sea turtle, as she navigates the dangers of life at sea, growing into a thriving adult along the way. As always, this experience will be included at no extra charge with aquarium admission.   

Guests are encouraged to visit the Center for Wildlife Rescue for a unique experience, as viewers can engage, watch and learn about the vital work being done to rescue, rehabilitate and release injured wildlife. The Center for Wildlife Rescue is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Access to the Center is included with Aquarium admission. Visitors who wish to visit only the Center are encouraged to make a donation to support the Aquarium’s wildlife efforts.  

On March 18, the H-E-B Splash Park will transition to operate Saturdays and Sundays only until Summer. The Aquarium will continue to welcome guests at its regular spring hours of operation from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. daily.
