Directions to the Texas State Aquarium
The Texas State Aquarium is located at 2710 N Shoreline Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX 78402. We are conveniently located on 7.3 acres on North Beach, just minutes from Corpus Christi’s downtown district, convention center complex, and museums.
As construction continues on the new and old Harbor Bridges, traffic routes may shift. To ensure a smooth arrival, we’ve provided the most up-to-date directions based on which bridge you’ll be using. Please double-check road conditions before you travel.
The only way to get DIRECTLY to North Beach right now is by taking the OLD Harbor Bridge.
From IH-37 (San Antonio Area)
From SH 286
From Downtown Corpus Christi
Take the OLD Harbor Bridge
You will continue using the northbound lanes on the OLD Harbor Bridge to access the North Beach area. Take the North Beach exit and turn right onto Burleson St., then continue to Timon Blvd. Turn right on Timon Blvd., merge onto Surfside Blvd., and follow it for approximately 1.5 miles to reach the Aquarium.
From Portland
Take US 181
There are two exits on US-181 for North Beach. You can take either one, then follow W. Causeway Blvd all the way to Breakwater Ave. Turn left on Breakwater Ave to reach the Aquarium.
Returning Directions Back to IH37 / SH 286 and Corpus Christi
From the Aquarium, you can take E. Causeway Blvd or Surfside Blvd all the way to Beach Ave, right by the Whataburger. Go under the bridge and turn left to access the new Harbor Bridge.
Returning Directions Back to Portland
From the Aquarium, you can take E. Causeway Blvd or Surfside Blvd all the way to Beach Ave, right by Whataburger, and turn left to get onto US-181.
