CORPUS CHRISTI, TX, - The Texas State Aquarium (TSA) has been ranked among Top 5 Best Aquarium in the country by USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Award.
Over the last few weeks, readers across Texas cast their ballots in an online poll for their favorite Aquarium. “We are thrilled and humbled to be recognized as the number 5 aquarium in the nation. This achievement reflects the strength and support of our incredible community. On behalf of the entire team at your Texas State Aquarium, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who voted and supported us. We promise to continue delivering exceptional experiences and to keep making our community and our city proud,” said Aquarium CEO, Jesse Gilbert. In 2023, the Aquarium marked its sixth consecutive year to be nominated for this honor, moving up a notch since last year’s number six spot.
The Texas State Aquarium, the largest aquarium in Texas and fourth largest in North America, is home to more than 4,000 animals representing over 300 species and is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Guests can enjoy a range of experiences and witness wildlife conservation efforts firsthand at the Center for Wildlife Rescue, which showcases cutting-edge science essential to the rehabilitation process for injured wildlife, including the state’s only wildlife CT scanner, providing comprehensive care from routine checkups to emergency surgery.
