SeaCamp invites campers to dive into STEMM careers at the Texas State Aquarium. SeaCamp provides behind-the-scenes experiences and animal encounters that allow campers to practice skills it takes to work at an aquarium and conserve wildlife.

Homeschool

The Aquarium’s Homeschool programs offer students in Kindergarten – 8th grade the opportunity to explore STEMM topics through hands-on activities, observation, and interactions with live animals.

Wildlife Rescue on the Road

The Texas State Aquarium rescues all types of animals, including dolphins, raptors and shorebirds, and sea turtles in need! Students will participate in a hands-on experience of how our team comes to the rescue, acting as rescuers, and learn which tools we use to save our local wildlife!

This is a 45-minute program, best suited for learners in 3rd grade and above, and each session can accommodate up to 30 participants.

Aquaventure

Much like a scavenger hunt, you’ll embark on a self-guided journey around the Aquarium, answering questions like “How many times does a moon jelly pulse in a minute?” or “How long does it take for a shark to swim across the Caribbean Sea?” Some questions only take an observant eye, while others may take some number crunching.

Let’s Talk Sharks

How do sharks overcome the challenges of their environment—both natural and human-made? In this live presentation featuring engaging, hands-on exploration of shark and ocean biofacts, students will discover the unique adaptations that help sharks swim efficiently, sense prey, and evade predators. Students will become inspired to make change as stewards of their environment.

This is a 30-minute program that can be tailored to engage learners of all ages and each session can accommodate varying capacities.

Aquarium to You

The Gulf and Caribbean are dynamic and diverse ecosystems that support a wide range of life. Learners of all ages will discover some of the many plants and animals that live here, and how human impact affects these organisms, as we bring the Aquarium to you!

This is a booth style set-up, well suited for large events, festivals, etc. This program can be tailored to suit the needs of any group!
