DIVE INTO MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AND BEAT THE HEAT: UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCES AWAIT AT TEXAS STATE AQUARIUM!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX – This Memorial Day weekend the Texas State Aquarium is extending its hours for the summer and introducing a new animal presentation to the schedule. Visitors can beat the heat and enjoy multiple air-conditioned spaces or cool down at the Splash Park.
Extended Summer Hours:
Starting Saturday, May 25th, the Aquarium will be open daily and extend its summer hours to 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. This allows guests ample time to take in the beautiful exhibits featuring over 300 species.
Every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m., visitors may stop by the Center for Wildlife Rescue where the mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release wild animals back to their natural habitat.
New Otter Presentation:
You won’t want to miss this new addition, so be sure to stop at Otter Creek at 2:30 p.m. or 5:00 p.m. daily to learn more about these crafty creatures. The Aquarium’s three North American river otters are discussed in topics like their characteristics, curious behaviors, and the crucial role they play in their ecosystem. H-E-B Splash Park:
Starting Saturday, May 25th, the 15,000-square-foot H-E-B Splash Park will be open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Featuring a 350-gallon water dump, a multi-level waterslide, plenty of shaded seating, dining space, and several food options, the Splash Park offers a perfect spot for families to cool off and relax. Water will shut off 15 minutes prior to closing.
Admission always includes access to a hands-on experience with touch pools, animal presentations, H-E-B Splash Park, sand pit and Nature Play area, and educational opportunities. And as a nonprofit aquarium, admission also supports animal care, Wildlife Rescue operations, and conservation programs.
Visitors are encouraged to pick up a map upon arrival to ensure they don’t miss any of the exciting activities and presentations.
