AquaTeen Academy

AquaTeen Academy is a Youth Volunteer Program for teens to explore exciting opportunities in STEMM (Science, Technology. Engineering, Math, and Medicine). The 2026 AquaTeen Academy will take place from June 1st through August 2nd, 2026. Applications for rising 9th grade students are now open! For questions, please email [email protected].

 AquaTeen Opportunities

Guest Services
Greet and open doors for guests, serve as TSA mascot, complete guest surveys, and act as directional guides and sources of information for guests.

H-E-B Splash Park
Help with keeping the area clean, and kids safe and entertained.

Education
Learn about the habitats and animals at the Aquarium, assist visitors, and answer questions about the exhibits.

Workforce Development
Gain tools, resources, and experiences to succeed in STEM related careers.


Requirements

  • Be a rising 9th – 12th grade student
  • Participate in an interview process
  • Must be under the age of 18 years old
  • Submit two letters of recommendation
  • If accepted, complete the required training and meet schedule requirements

Returning Aquateens

  • Students who complete 65 volunteer hours during the previous year and remain in good standing will receive a next steps email from the Education Department by March 1st of the current year.
