Two people clean up litter on large rocks by the water; one person holds a yellow trash bag and a piece of debris, while the other bends down to pick up trash. Both are wearing gloves.

Join the Adopt-A-Beach Coastwide Cleanup

As a local host of the Texas General Land Office Adopt-A-Beach Program, we’ll be doing our part to remove waste and other debris from the coastlines with the help of our community, making our beaches safer and more enjoyable for people and wildlife alike!

Adopt-a-Beach Cleanup

Since 2013, thousands of volunteers and staff have collected a heaping 112,776 pounds of trash along 9 miles of Texas coastline at North Beach Bay. Help us clean North Beach during the annual Adopt-a-Beach Fall Cleanup. Cleanup supplies will be distributed in individual kits, available for pickup on the Aquarium’s front lawn. Please wear closed-toed shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a water bottle.

People wearing gloves pick up trash and collect it in large yellow bags on a sandy beach, with more volunteers cleaning in the distance. The sky is partly cloudy and buildings line the shore in the background.
