Griffin Joins Texas State Aquarium as Director of Marketing and Communications

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX -- The Texas State Aquarium is pleased to announce Jeff Griffin as its new Director of Marketing and Communications.

 

Griffin will drive marketing, media, brand and communications strategies for the largest aquarium in Texas as it welcomes an increasing number of guests to its newest experience, Caribbean Journey. As a key member of the senior leadership team, Griffin will also provide input on business development, strategic and organizational planning as the Aquarium continues to grow its role in Texas and beyond as a leader in wildlife conservation and environmental education.

Griffin comes to Corpus Christi from Missoula, Montana, where he led a professional baseball program as the Vice President/General Manager of the Missoula Osprey, a Pioneer League Affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. Griffin, a partner in the Osprey, spent 13 seasons with the organization, the last ten as general manager. As an experienced owner-operator with a demonstrated history of success in the entertainment industry, Griffin was charged with leading the overall business operations of the organization focusing on fan entertainment, community involvement and financial viability.

Griffin earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport Management with an emphasis in Communication from Washington State University and is past President of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Montana as well as Flagship, the afterschool program in Missoula. Griffin also served in many other community leadership roles prior to relocating to South Texas. Griffin now resides on Padre Island with his wife and two dogs.
