It's not Halloween without Boo in the Blue!

It’s not Halloween without Boo in the Blue! Although this won’t be your typical “Boo in the Blue!” event, we are very excited to welcome you back for this fall favorite. In order to minimize the usual crowds this event brings, Boo in the Blue! will be spread over three spooky weeks, October 16 – October 31. 

These family-friendly days will feature spooky décor throughout the Aquarium, fun photo backgrounds, special unscheduled animal encounters, divers in costumes, a virtual costume contest, candy on Saturday and Sundays only.

Post your Boo in the Blue! photos with the hashtag #txstateaquarium to enter our virtual costume contest. A prize will be given on Oct. 31 for the three best costumes. So, be creative!

Children (Ages 3 to 12) in costume will get a 50% off admission discount. One child admission discount offered per one full-priced adult admission ticket purchase. Membership admission is not applicable for child discount.

Masks are strongly recommended for kids 3 and up and required for kids 10 and up.

Please Note: Halloween costumes with toy guns and weapons are not allowed.
