Animal Science Exploration Program

Mon. February 12, 2018 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Are you interested in pursuing a career in animal science or working in a zoo or aquarium someday?

At our upcoming Animal Science Exploration Program (ASEP) event, you’ll get an in-depth look at what it takes to care for our wildlife collection and meet with the trainers, aquarists, guest services employees, and other experts that make our incredible work all possible!

On this two-hour career experience, participants will get a comprehensive overview of our Animal Care Sciences team including:

  • A behind-the-scenes tour of Caribbean Journey and Gulf of Mexico exhibits with Fish & Herpetology staff.
  • A dolphin interaction led by our Dolphin Bay staff
  • Animal encounters with our Wild Flight staff
  • An overview of Caribbean Commissary, where our animal diets are prepared
  • A Q&A session with Wildlife Rescue and Recovery staff
  • Opportunities to learn more about careers in Education, Marketing, Volunteering and HR, Water Quality, and Guest Services

T-shirts are also available for sale to guests, and there will be prize giveaways for those to take a brief exit survey!
