Animal Science Exploration Program: Marine Mammals

Sun. September 30, 2018 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Do you dream of a career working with dolphins one day?

Then you won’t want to miss an upcoming opportunity at the Texas State Aquarium to learn from their highly-trained staff about what it takes to look after dolphins…and how can begin your own exciting career in caring for these intelligent marine mammals.

During the Aquarium’s Animal Exploration Program (ASEP) on September 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., high school and college students will have a potentially once-in-a-life opportunity to learn firsthand about how to kick start a career in caring for marine mammals like the Aquarium’s four dolphins, Liko, Kai, Shadow and Schooner. This two-hour experience will include a Q&A with a dolphin trainer as well as an exclusive after-hours behavior session to show how the dolphins learn behaviors from their caretakers that help keep them mentally and physically active.
