Bring your homeschool students to the Aquarium

Each month, September through April, the Aquarium hosts engaging STEM-based programs for homeschool learners in grades Kinder, 1-2, 3-5 and 6-8

These specially designed programs will challenge and excite your learners by piquing curiosity, building critical thinking skills, encouraging creativity and hands-on exploration. Class themes are adapted to meet the developmental needs of children at their specific K-8 learning levels.

Homeschool programs are offered in the morning (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.) and in the afternoon (1  – 3 p.m.). Check-in begins 15 minutes prior to program start time. Please check our reservations page for dates and times of your child’s grade specific program and time.  Parents/Guardians are required to sign-in their students during check-in and show ID at check out.

Please note, this program is a drop-off program.

Parents/guardians are welcome to purchase tickets to tour the Aquarium on their own during the program time. However due to our child safety protection mandates, only fully background-checked Texas State Aquarium staff will be with the students during the program.

  • Grades: Kinder, 1-2, 3-5 and 6-8
    • All programs offered will take place at the Texas State Aquarium at 2710 N Shoreline Blvd.
  • 10 student maximum per class for Kindergarten
  • 20 student maximum per class for grades 1-2, 3-5 and 6-8

Please note: We require paperwork for each student to ensure safety and confidence with parents and Aquarium Staff. This information is part of your registration process and must be filled in when you register.
