April 22, 2008 Party for the Planet!
It’s a Party for the Planet! Join our party on April 22 with games, activities, and free stuff all day long. We’ll donate $1.00 of EVERY admission to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums’ Conservation Endowment Fund to help save the planet. So come by the Aquarium on April 22. April 26, 2008 Texas General Land Office Adopt-a-Beach Clean Up
Help get our beaches sparkling for summer and join us for the Spring 2008 Texas General Land Office Adopt-a-Beach Clean-up! The Texas State Aquarium invites everyone to come out and clean Corpus Christi Beach. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and we will clean the beach from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. After the cleanup, have pizza and a goody bag provided by the Texas State Aquarium and the Texas General Land Office as a token of appreciation for helping keep our beaches clear of debris. SeaSchoolers

Sea turtles are in the spotlight at this month’s program. SeaSchoolers will meet some of the Aquarium’s turtle residents, hear a turtle story, and make a turtle snack. A visit to the new Tortuga Cay is included.

Looking for new ways to cook all the wonderful bounty of the Gulf of Mexico? Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month for a cooking class designed to teach you how to select and prepare fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood. Some of the finest chefs in South Texas will be here to share their secrets. Adults only, please.

Be a part of the excitement at the Texas State Aquarium! There are opportunities in several departments; select the one (or two!) that fits your interest and skills.
