TITLE: Retail Aide, Gift Shop

BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREEN REQUIRED ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assist customers with merchandise selection.

Ring up sales on cash register and make correct change.

Maintain accountability for cash drawer.

Assist with maintenance of inventory.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:

Ability to operate electronic cash registers and make correct change
Ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with the general public and to provide a high standard of service
Ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays as required

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Any combination of education and experience which would likely produce the required knowledge, skills and abilities

None

Cash register

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is usually performed in an air-conditioned gift shop; however, some aspects of the job may require standing/walking in an outdoor environment. Must have physical ability to lift, reach, push, pull, and to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
